Mr. William "John" Taylor III

William "John" Taylor lll passed away August 26, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Preceded in death by his parents William "Bill" Taylor and Helen Humphrey Taylor and sister Stella Crim. John is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Marlene, son Jason Taylor daughter Nikki McCutcheon, son in law Tom McCutcheon, granddaughter Elizabeth McCutcheon, grandson Craig McCutcheon and very good friend Waylon Majors. John was a long time employee of Blount County Parks and Recreation and enjoyed his job. John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golfing and riding his Harley. A memorial service will be held at the Townsend Church of God at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital. The family of John would like to thank Dr McCarty and his staff and Dr Midas and the staff at Fort Sanders hospital for the great care and encouragement given to John during his illness.
