Mr. Teddy Cecil Poe

Teddy Cecil Poe, born June 27, 1951, went to be with the Lord on Feb 10, 2022. “Teddy was such a likable guy!” as stated by a fellow 1970 graduate from Everett High School. After high school Teddy honorably served in the Army. Eventually, Teddy retired in his field from Blount County Schools. It is known that Teddy was a storyteller and gave encouragement to everyone around him. He will be greatly missed! When he wasn’t working, he was fishing, boating, golfing, or spending time with his family. He married the love of his life Brenda Cate Poe in 1981, and they built a beautiful life, family and spent forty wonderful years together. He is survived by his lovely wife, Brenda Cate Poe; children: Amanda Poe, Josh Thibault, Shannon Crannick and his beloved dogs Harley and Maggie; Siblings: Rebecca Poe Hickman (Mike), Rosemary Poe West, Kathy Poe Spears (Tom), Benny Paul Poe (April), Tami S. Poe, Renda Poe Crowe (Dodd). Jim Allison and Dillard Jones, various nieces, nephews, and cousins, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by: Cecil James Poe, Mertice Chastain Poe, Mackie Allison, Peggy Jones, Michael Poe. He will also be remembered by many friends and extended family. No services are scheduled at this time. A celebration of his precious life will be held at a later date. In Teddy's own words, " Well that's enough about me!"
