Mr. Steven Wayne Matlock

Steven Wayne Matlock, 69, of Louisville, TN passed away quietly at home on October 5, 2020 surrounded by his loving family (he didn't want to walk Sarah down the aisle to marry Jamie on the 18th and fixed that wagon right up!). Steve, superman/default dude, had a heart bigger than all the peanut butter in the world and was brilliant…he could fix ANYTHING as long there was a book/manual written. He leaves behind his wife Bridget, daughters Sarah and Stevie, son Aarik, mother of Stevie, Chere, as well as a GIGANTIC village of family and friends who loved him. His loves were first and foremost each and every one of his family members and of course University of Tennessee football. We have to also note his love of the outdoors...fishing, camping, the lake, riding/racing Harleys. His strength, work ethic and dedication to his family was undeniable. Yup, he could be grumpy, yup, he had a temper but don't we all sometimes suffer from these maladies. There will be a Celebration of Steve’s Life at Watts Bar Lake on October 17, 2020. In lieu of flowers please send boxes of Puffs tissues (with lotion) to UT Hospice, as there isn't a decent box of tissues in one heck of a great hospital with the bestest Hospice program ever.
