Robert "Milton" Gaines

Robert “Milton” Gaines, age 85, went Home to Heaven on August 22, 2023. In his own words, he “lived a great life”. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, attending Bible study with his dear friends and family, and working in his yard. He delighted in helping others with any project he could. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1966, where he met his wife, his “Beautiful Bobbie” as he lovingly called her until the very end.

Milton is preceded in death by his parents, Cleve and Lillie Elton Gaines, his siblings Allen Gaines, Joe Gaines, Nell Sanders, Jean Barker, Martha McClain, and Ginny Hyder.

Milton is survived by his wife, Roberta “Bobbie” Gaines, brother Larry Gaines and Dewilla, his daughter Robin Gaines-Reeves and Roger, his son Robert Gaines Jr and Tessa, His granddaughters Ashley Jackson and Joel, and Sara Yates and Cody, his great grandchildren Caedon Jackson, Gracie Yates, Skye Yates, and Izzy Yates, many nieces, nephews, and special friends. At Milton’s request no services are planned.
