Rhonda Ann Corner

May 2, 1971 — January 27, 2025

Maryville, TN

Rhonda Ann Corner joyously entered the Pearly Gates of Heaven pain-free on January 27, 2025, after a short battle with cancer at the age of 53. She was born in Scotland County, North Carolina on May 2, 1971. She was greeted on God's golden streets by her parents, Bruce Lee and Clairita Annette Corner; her grandmother, Angel Mae DeCora; and her niece, Jazmine Destiny Seals.

Left here on earth to remember her fondly are: Best friend and sister, Francine Mae (Paris) Johnson; Brother: Flint Lee (Margaret) Corner; Nephews: Chris Lee (MaryBeth) Corner, Thurston Lee Corner, Johnson Kelly (Jessica) Tucker IV; Niece: Deanna Corner Dennis; Great Nieces: Jamie, Jordyn, and Tauren; Great Nephews: Kevin, Dakota, Aiden, Kaiden, Carter, Silas, and Colby; Her dog, Poppy; and Special friend from work, Chee Chee.

She was an active tribal member of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. She was employed with Solid Ground Security Solutions as a patient safety sitter. Rhonda was well-liked by all of her co-workers. She had been her mama's world, her big sister's best friend, and her nephew's first true friend. She was her daddy's constant comrade on many adventures after her mother passed. Her Poppy was her greatest, most treasured soul. She was his Mama, and he was her comfort, peace, and steadfast cuddler. She selflessly devoted the first 34 years of her adult life to caring for her parents faithfully. She was empathetic, compassionate, and always made you feel heard when you needed someone to talk to. She made friends everywhere she went with her friendly demeanor and considerate attitude. Rhonda was an incredibly generous spirit. She along with a group of coworkers enthusiastically stepped in and filled every single child's gift request from a local headstart on her last Christmas on Earth. She was peacefully content and thoroughly enjoying her new home in Tennessee, and she was ALWAYS ready to laugh. She will be dearly missed and remembered fondly until we meet again.

"God looked around his garden
and found an empty space
Then He looked down upon this earth
and saw your tired face
He put his arms around you
and lifted you to rest
God's garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best"
