Phyllis M. Clabough

Phyllis Gregory Clabough passed away November 16, 2023, at the age of 86. Born in Maryville, Phyllis graduated from Everett High School where she played basketball for 4 years, earning numerous regional and state awards.  She married Billy Clabough in 1954 and they enjoyed 61 years of raising their family, traveling with her sisters and brothers-in-law and spending time in Cades Cove. Phyllis worked as the Superintendent of Blount County Children's Home.  Sher served on numerous state and local foster care committees.  After leaving the Children's Home she worked with Blount Memorial Home Health and Hospice, continuing her calling of helping people in her community in their times of need.  Phyllis was a long time member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband Billy Gene Clabough, parents George Houston Gregory and Clemmie Myers Gregory, and brother-in-law Bob Arnold. She is survived by her daughters Cindy Clabough Bolduc and Lorie Clabough Stead (Kenny); grandchildren Will Bolduc (Chelsea), Emily Bolduc Horner, and Justin Stead; great-grandchildren Savannah Dyches, Brooklyn Dyches, and Neyland Horner; sibling Mike Gregory (Carolyn), Sandra Arnold, Mona Green (Jim), Carol Coulter (Larry), and in-laws E. Melvyn Clabough and Charles Clabough (Patsy). The family would like to give a special thank you to Brandon Dyches for all of his help.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Piney Grove Baptist Church from 3:00-4:30 pm.  Services to follow with Pastor Craig Neubert officiating.  Arrangements by Cremation by Grandview.
