Phyllis Diane Chambers

November 20, 1948 — December 22, 2022

Maryville, Tennessee

Phyllis Diane Chambers, 74, of Maryville, Tn. left for her heavenly reward Dec.22, 2022. She was a proud graduate of Everett High School (Go 66'ers!) and worked as an executive assistant in legal firms in both Atlanta and Knoxville. She shared a love for reading and crossword puzzles with both her children as well as a love for wildflowers that she and lifelong friend Hope Geren enjoyed together. The most special thing about "Diane" is she was a beautiful loving mother and grandmother who will be missed greatly. She was preceded in death by parents Roy and Stella Chambers, brothers Douglas and Drew Chambers, and sister in love Cathy Chambers. She left behind children Sandy Roberson and Amy Taylor (Chris); grand-children Lauren Hill, Asher, Addison, and James (Erin) Taylor; brother Dwight Chambers; and sister Janie Hargis (Steve); as well as several nephews and nieces. Special thanks to caregiver and dear friend, Shirley Crisp and Janice Gilland, for your special care, Blount Hospice, Blount Memorial Equipment Services, the staff at Blount Discount on Gill St. Lowes Drugs, and Walmart Pharmacy for helping us navigate through the final days. We can't leave out the staff at Alcoa Tenn Credit Union Fairview. Mom loved going by to visit where everybody called her by name. Thank you! Diane chose cremation and no formal service. There will be a reception to honor her this spring. If you would like to honor her life donations can be made to Blount County Animal Center, the Operation Christmas Child mission at Alcoa Maryville Church of God, or any school library.
