Michael Charles Smith “Smitty”

Passed away at home late Friday evening, July 14^th surrounded by his loving family (wife Donna and son’s Kevin, Wesley and nephew Jason which was more like a son.

Smitty was a very kind and generous man, which was sometimes belied by his brutally honest exterior. Those who knew him well, knew the love he had for his family and friends and that he would do absolutely anything for them.

Smitty had a deep and abiding love for many things. First and foremost were his wife and his sons; as well as his many many friends and his extended family. He also loved animals, all sports (especially University of Tennessee sports and all motor sports), and Harley Davidson motorcycles.

He will greatly be missed by all those family and friends who loved him so very much.

Smitty was preceded in death by his father Roy, mother Lucile and brother Gary (T.O.). He is survived by his wife Donna, sons Kevin, Wesley and Jason, sister Michelle and brother Rick.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that a donation be made in his name to your local animal shelter.

We will try Smitty and we love and will miss you so very much!

Celebration of Life will be held Sunday August 6th at Ye Olde Steakhouse from 2-4pm. Dress is as casual as you would like. Some food and drink will be served.
