Mrs. Mellisa Ann Downey

Mellisa Ann Downey, of Maryville, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019. Born on February 5, 2019 in Blount County, Mellisa studied nursing at Lincoln Memorial University and the College of the Lowland in South Carolina. She worked as an accountant as well as playing piano in many churches. Most of her pianist career was at Green Meadow Methodist Church. Mellisa is preceded in death by her parents Darrell and Minnie Lou Lowe, as well as her brothers Daniel and Greg Lowe. She is survived by her husband Michael Downey, her son Johnathan S. McCulloch and her daughter Cora L. McCulloch. Per Mellisa’s wishes, there will be no services.
