Mary Charles "Charlie" Cope

Mary Charles “Charlie” Cope, age 73, of Blount County passed away Friday, June 23, 2023. Mary was born on January 30^th, 1950, to Lloyd and Hazel Cope at Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a graduate of Everett High School.

Mary Charles worked at Honeycomb beauty parlor and then retired from Schlegels. She enjoyed fashion, spending time with family and close friends, and old cinematography. Mary Charles is preceded in death by mother and father, Lloyd and Hazel Cope; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Arnold Green. She is survived by stepsons Chris and Jimmy Green; brother Owen Cope; sisters Beatrice Cope, Patty Austin (Rick), and Amanda Jane Cope; and several nieces and nephews.

The celebration of life service will be held at 6:00 PM on Saturday, July 1^st, 2023, at East Alcoa Baptist Church with Rev. David Kirkland. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Mary Charles’s name.
