Mark David Reeder, 70, of Maryville, TN, formerly of Jacksonville, IL passed away Thursday, September 12th, 2024. He was born July 14th, 1954 in Bloomington-Normal, IL, the son of Jack Eudene Reeder and Sherrill Lavon Kammerer. Surviving is his wife Debra Jo Reeder, his daughter Mandi Jo (husband Michael) Merriman of Loudon, TN, son Matthew Aaron Reeder of OR, his son Brandon Scott Reeder of Springfield, IL. A granddaughter Kayla Jo Higgason (Cristopher Sutsser) of Maryville, a grandson Jayden David Markley of Loudon, TN, and one great-grandchild Ashton Verle Wayne Sutsser. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Sherrill. Mark worked as a lighting technician at Springfield Electric for 40 years and retired in the Smoky Mountains in Maryville, TN. He worked part time as a delivery driver for Blount Discount Pharmacy. Mark enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, Tennessee Volunteers college teams, driving, visiting the great Smoky Mountains Park, enjoying nature, fishing, reading, and spending time with his family. Mark loved his family and his kindness touched the lives of everyone he encountered. He loved dad jokes and making people happy, and always put others above himself. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm Friday September 20th at Oakland United Methodist Church in Greenback, TN.
