Linda L. Tilley

Linda Lou Tilley, age 75, went home to be with Jesus on July 1, 2023. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillie Mae Cheatwood, her husband, Jackie Tilley and her stepdaughter Teresa Tilley. She is survived by sons Jonathan (Mandi) Tilley, Stephen (Pam) Boyd, and David (Larissa) Boyd; stepson Tim (Robin) Tilley; grandchildren Kaylor Tilley, Aiden Tilley, Raven Boyd, and Alex Boyd; and brother Gary (Brenda) Cheatwood; fur babies Benji and Duke; special friends Gwen George, Betty (Wayne) Drinnen, and Pam (Steve) Woods along with so many others.

Linda proudly worked as a legal assistant for several years at the law offices of Woolf, McClane, Bright, Allen & Carpenter, PLLC in Knoxville. She was a long time member at Dotson Memorial Church and enjoyed playing the piano during the services.  Linda was a beloved mother, sister, friend and mimi and blessed us all with her unconditional love and warmth. Her kindness, compassion, and selflessness marked the lives of everyone she met. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, support, and calming presence. She brought immense joy and light to all our lives and the lives of everyone who was fortunate to know her. Linda deeply cherished visits and gatherings with family and friends. She will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 13, 2023, receiving of friends 4-5:30pm with a service to follow at Dotson Memorial Baptist Church, officiated by Stevie Llewellyn and Ronnie Phelps.
