Miss Lana "Aileen" Ownsby

Lana Aileen Ownsby, age 59, of Alcoa, departed this life and earned her wings Thursday morning, August 25, 2016. Aileen was a retired registered nurse from St. Mary’s Hospital. She was a devoted softball coach, manager and player who enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending quality time with friends and family. Aileen was a true Lady Vol fan for life and a supporter of Pat Summitt. She is proceeded in death by: Mother, Peggy Ownsby; Father, J D Ownsby; Grandparents, Effie and Lewis Newman, and Uncle, Tony Newman. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Gigi Ownsby; nephew and wife, Jayson and Jessica Ownsby, Niece and husband, Jessica and Jake Breedlove; Great Nephew, Jayce Ownsby; Aunt and Uncle, Glenda and Tom Neal; Aunt and Uncle, Lynn and Wayne Newman, Aunt, Eunice Ownsby and other family members. Aileen is also survived by faithful and lifelong friend, Shirley Williams, and many other friends who will miss her deeply. Memorial service at Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, Sunday, August 28, 2016, 1pm. A private graveside service to be held Thursday, September 1, 2016.
