KRISTEN LYNN HARMAN Kristen Lynn Harman died on January 3, 2019, on her 49th birthday. Kristy was born in Carbondale, IL in 1970. She is survived by her parents, Sally Dobbles Harman Corey, Knoxville, TN, Dennis (Ruth) Harman of Fountain Hills, AZ, and stepfather, David (Terri) Corey, Knoxville. Also surviving are partner Larry Dockery, brothers Rob (Ana Tamez) and Ryan Corey, nephews Aiden Tamez and Ryland Corey and nieces Adryana Corey and Emily Dixon. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Frances & Dale Dobbles and Wendell & Ellna Harman. A memorial open house will be held at Sally Corey’s home, 3841 Marina View Lane, Knoxville 37920 on Tuesday, January 10, 2019 at 6 PM Kristy graduated from the University of Washington in 1992 with a degree in psychology. She had a wonderful singing voice, loved to read and made beautiful beaded jewelry. She enjoyed family gatherings and going out to eat. Kristy loved her pets Chase, Chuckie and Buddy. She waged a decades-long battle with severe health problems including diabetes, an amputation, chronic pain and unavoidable dependency on the medications she took to combat that pain. Intelligent and caring, Kristy could talk to anyone and always wanted to help others. Family members loved her and tried to help her in every way possible. Despite the disruption caused by opioid dependency, Kristy was her mother’s best friend and closest confidant. They shared many long, interesting and insightful conversations. She loved her partner, Larry, who stood by her and loved her for years. She will be greatly missed. Please continue to check back to this Tribute as more photos and videos will be added periodically.
