Kate Wooten

Kate Wooten, age 56, passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 1, 2024. Born in Swansea, Wales in 1967, she received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence. While hang gliding, Kate met her future husband, Damon, when they almost collided. After a month and a half of dating, they were married just two weeks later. Kate was employed with the British Royal Navy in the Nuclear Submarine program, as well as in High Finance with computer programming in both New York City and London. Later in life, she enjoyed being a saddle fitter which suited her passion for horses, especially dressage and eventing. She was an organic gardener, and her garden was always filled with flowers and vegetables.

Kate is survived by her husband of 21 years, Damon Wooten, special friend Lauren Colby, as well as three adored cats, Jono, Claire, and Yeti. Services will be announced at a later date.
