Jude Garrett Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald, Jude Garrett, age 46, of Maryville, TN, passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at his home.  Jude graduated from Maryville High School in 1995 and majored in Art at Pellissippi State, pursuing a career in graphic design.  While playing football for the Rebels, Jude grew to love the game, inspiring friends and family alike, while being a die-hard loyal fan for the Iowa Hawkeyes and Miami Dolphins.  Jude’s story could not be told without sports, though sports were only the “tip of the iceberg”.  From the time of birth, Jude’s creativity, passion, and artistic talent was obvious to all.  Jude was a renaissance man, pursuing interests in arts, music, culinary arts, and media.  His love for music and its history was unrivaled.  Though he had incredible intellect, insatiable creativity, multi-faceted intelligence, and an unbridled curiosity for life, Jude will always be known for the way he brought joy to those around him.  He is preceded in death by his father, Lane Garrett Fitzgerald.  Jude is survived by his mother, Mary H. Fitzgerald of Maryville; sister, Tessa J. Fitzgerald of Nashville; and brother, Ian L. Fitzgerald of Knoxville.  Celebration of Life will be held at The Grandview Pavilion, Sunday October 22nd from 2-5pm.
