Janet D. Goble

Surrounded by family, friends, love and laughter, Janet D. Goble, 66, of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on August 26th, 2023.

Born May 6th, 1957, Janet was blessed by God with a heart for adventure. From an early age, she had a fierce love of her Heavenly Father.  She was blessed to see many areas of His great world during her long 32-year career as a flight attendant for American Airlines. Though being a flight attendant was her career, her mission in life was her devout and radiant faith.

Jan's soul was a beacon of love that touched countless lives. She adored gardening and had an innate ability to cultivate the best in people. Kindness was one of the many art forms she mastered and had the ability to paint smiles with just a warm hand and a well spoken word.

Jan was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Samuel Ellis and Karen Davis, her husband's parents who she loved as her own Jim and Norma Goble, and her sister Carey (Don) Knight. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 41-years Robert "Bob" Goble, her mother Jewel (Roger) Bolin, sisters Patricia Ward and Cynthia (Roger) Armstrong, brother Jerry (Jeanne) Davis, her many nieces and nephews, daughter Amy Goble, grandsons Nicholas Torres and Christian Goble, great grandchildren Kizziah Schroeder, and Samuel and Joseph Goble.

A celebration of life to honor Jan will be held on October 21, around noon, at Faith Promise Church in Maryville (529 North Foothills Plaza Dr.). Once details are available, this website will be updated and invitations distributed. In lieu of flowers or food, the family is putting together a list of things that would help Bob out around the house, like yard/flower care.  Please contact Alexis Davis for more information.
