Mr. James M. Dennison

James Dennison, 68, Knoxville, went to be with his Savior Saturday, March 4th. He was a proud veteran of the USMC. James was employed with the Veteran’s Store in Pigeon Forge. He was an active member of the Bookwalter United Methodist Church. James was preceded in death by his stepfather Luther Smith, brother L.G. Smith and sister Sharon Smith. He is survived by his loving wife and soul-mate Doris, father Charles Dennison (Henderson, NC), mother Rosa Smith (Knoxville), daughters April Stephens (Corryton), Barbie Slusher (Louisville, KY), Crystal Walker (Chattanooga), Ruth Ann Ballinger (Knoxville), sisters Terry Downs, Nancy Caldwell, Shirley Carter, Barbara Kerry, brother Chris Smith, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, very special prayer pal Ella Wilhoit, as well as a host of friends. A Celebration of Life service and dinner will be held Thursday, March 9, 2017, 5 pm, at Bookwalter united Methodist Church, with Reverend Steve Doyle officiating.
