What can be said about Jimmy Bell? He was a man who, if he cared for you, it was with an unrivaled fierceness and passion. He had a huge heart that he wore on his sleeve. He was loved as fiercely back by those who knew him. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends whether hunting, fishing, rocking out on his drums, or a lazy day at home. This is especially true of his grandbabies, Liam and Addie, with whom he’d go on adventures and who were absolutely convinced Jim hung the moon.
For those of us who knew him well, we can attest to his strong-willed and stubborn-but-loveable personality. Always the life of the party, his approach to life’s circumstances was one full of a sense of purpose, determination, ambition, and resilience. That did not waiver when Jim received his diagnosis. He faced his illness with the same attributes he faced in his daily life. Always hopeful and beating the odds, Jimmy unfortunately succumbed to his illness August 6, 2023, on his 70th birthday. He will be remembered fondly for his capacity to love, lend a helping hand, and live life on his terms.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Amy Jo Bell; son Noah Reed Bell; grandson Liam Reed Bell; granddaughter Addleylynn Bell; and brother Scott (Sandy) Bell.
