Jama Lynn McMurray

Jama Lynn McMurray, age 49 of Maryville, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 at the family home. Jama was a lifelong resident of the area and served Blount and Sevier Counties for many years as an accomplished attorney. She loved her family and doted on her grandchildren. She had a passion for her dogs and going to the beach. She was a loving mother, daughter, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Dewey and Mae Pickens, and Luke and Bernice McMurray; and her aunt, Evelyn Macht. Survivors include her sons and daughter, Josh Watts and Jackie Paul, Eric McMurray, Aarin and Lorlei, and Ashley and John Hotchkiss; grandchildren, Danelle Watts, Caden Burnette, Emma Hotchkiss, and Trenton McMurray; Parents, Jim and Barbara McMurray; cousins and other family also survive. A Celebration of Jama’s life will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 09, 2018 at Oak Street Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 5:00pm.
