Mr. Hubert (Hugh) Grady Reed

Hubert (Hugh) Grady Reed of Maryville, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, May 20, in Maryville. Hugh was a U.S. Department of Defense retiree and Air Force veteran. He was born in Moundville, Alabama to Hubert Reed and Eloise Dorman on August 1, 1939. Hugh will be remembered for his gentleness, kindness, humor, and love of music. He is survived, and will be missed, by his wife of 33 years, Karen Madlen Allen Reed of Maryville, sister Patrice Wiggs and brother Charles Samuel Reed, both of Montgomery, Alabama, children Tracy Motta (husband Matt), Judy Reed, John Reed (wife Cheryl), and Hubert Grady Reed, Jr. (wife Alyssa), all residing in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area with Hugh's grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial celebration and reception will be held at the Smith Life Event Center, 1404 Tuckaleechee Pike in Maryville on Saturday, May 26 at 4:00 pm.
