Harold Eugene Brock, Jr.

Harold Eugene “Mickey” Brock, Jr. of Maryville, TN, passed away on October 25, 2023.  Mickey was born in 1949 in Louisville, KY, and he was preceded in death by his mother Lois Sturgeon Brock and father Harold Eugene Brock, Sr. along with grand-nephew Levi Bedwell. 

Mickey is survived by his son Michael (Amanda) Brock and grandchildren Denver, Lucas and Emmaline Brock; his sister Leigh (Sam) Reasor; nieces Jennifer (Andrew) Gilpin and Karyn Bedwell; grand-nephew Xavier Gilpin; grand-niece Wyleigh Bedwell; and friend, Janet Brock.

Mickey was a graduate of St. Xavier High School in Louisville. He attended the University of Kentucky and graduated from the University of Louisville. He owned and operated a courier service for over 25 years with several long-time employees that were like family.

Mickey was an avid hiker and backpacker for many years, visiting many national parks. He loved the GSMNP and was both a lifelong member of the Great Smoky Mountain Association and a member of Friends of the Smokies.  He supported many wonderful organizations including St Joes Indian School, Habitat for Humanity, local food pantries, animal shelters, and even internationally to sponsor African children in need.

We will hold a celebration of life on Tuesday November 7^th at 11am at Historic Bethlehem Church – address is 853 Bethlehem Church Road, Walland, TN, 37886.

A second celebration of life for Louisville, KY, friends and family will be held on Sunday November 12^th from 1pm-3pm at Nachand Springs Clubhouse - address is 4015 Bluestem Lane, Louisville, KY, 40218.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mickey’s name to either Friends of the Smokies or to a local animal shelter.
