Frederick Lee "Fred" Erickson

Fred Lee Erickson, 86, passed away on April 14, 2024. Born September 11, 1937, in Great Falls, MT, Fred attended California State – Bakersfield, where he was the first president of their senior class and president of their alumni. He received his Master’s at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. He was an Educational Psychologist and teacher in Canada for many years. In 1965, Fred married his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Marie Anne Miller. Fred was a loving husband, father, papa, brother, and friend. He was a family man who cherished his family most of all and will be greatly missed.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Erickson and Margaret Walsh Erickson, and his brother James Erickson. He is survived by his wife Marie, daughter Whitney Erickson, her daughter Bergen, daughter Morgan Erickson and her sons Andrew Turner (wife Sydney and their children Blaire and Arya) and Zachary Turner, as well as his sister Myra Erickson Pierson.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Fred’s name to Highland Presbyterian Church in Maryville, TN or Friends of Blount County Animal Shelter in Alcoa, TN.
