Frances Inez Russell

Frances Inez Russell, 100, went on to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, October 9, 2024. She was born March 10, 1924. Inez graduated from Porter High School and worked as a devoted caregiver, caring for others until she was no longer able (around 90 years old). Independence was everything to Inez, and God allowed her to live in her own apartment and make her own decisions. 

Inez is preceded in death by her first husband and first love, Robert “Bob” Abbott, her 2nd husband Bill Russell, son Robert "Bobby" Dean Abbott, and parents John Cowen Hines and Della Inez Walker. She is survived by daughter Marlene (“Russell”) Thomas; grandchildren Lance (Olivia) Thomas, Kasey (Sarah) Thomas, Stephanie (Ryan) Krivisky, Tyrone “Bucky” (Krissy) Abbott; 10 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. 

She will be buried at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Inez was celebrated this year at her 100th birthday party and the family will always be grateful for the love she felt from family and friends. A special Thank You to everyone who visited during the last few weeks. Your time and thoughtfulness were appreciated.
