Dorothy R. Jordan

Dorothy R. Jordan, age 91, passed away on December 12, 2023. Born in 1932, Dorothy was the daughter of K.H. and Margaret Rueter of Maryville, Tennessee. Dorothy was a graduate of Maryville High School. She graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a Bachelor of Science and received a Master of Science from East Tennessee State University. Dorothy was a medical technologist and was retired from the VA Hospital in Mountain Home, TN, and Blount Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Maryville Church of Christ.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter Margaret Ann Bryson. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert Leon Jordan; sons Robert L. Jordan, Jr. and Daniel W. Jordan; grandsons Luke Bryson and Sam Bryson who both reside in Texas; and sister Ann Rueter Arnhart of Alexandria, VA.

There will be a private family memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Maryville Church of Christ or the World English Institute, a bible study program.
