Charles “Chuck” E. Langston, 89, of Maryville passed away Monday, March 16, 2020. He was born on March 16, 1931 in Turner, AR and graduated from Hurst-Bush High School in Hurst, IL. Chuck was a 20-year veteran of the USAF, serving in Okinawa during the Korean War and multiple tours in Vietnam. After his service in the Air Force, he worked for 20 years as an agent in the Prudential Insurance Company. He was an active member of VFW Post 10855. He also coached a Maryville Little League Jr. Allstars Team all the way to the state championship. Chuck was an avid sports fan. He loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. He even enjoyed being beaten by them on the golf course. He is preceded in death by his parents Roy P. and Mattie M. Langston, brothers Buford and Joseph Langston, sisters Emogene Corse and Muriel Etta Cook, and son-in-law Tony Lollar. Chuck is survived by his wife Frieda, daughters Debbie Lollar and Terri Langston, grandchildren Brian, Nick and Matt Lollar, and great grandchildren Pierson and Grayson Lollar. There will be a private family service to honor Chuck’s life on Friday, March 20, 2020 at 3pm at the Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. The Reverend Ronnie Longmire will officiate.
