Carol Louise Schoenekase

Carol L. Schoenekase, 82, a Quincy, IL native, passed away at her home on January 24, 2025, in Maryville TN. Carol was born on January 6, 1943, in Quincy to George and Dorothy (Fisher) Genenbacher. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School and St. John's School of Nursing (Springfield IL). She was married to Terry L. Schoenekase on May 16, 1964. A celebration of her life will be held at noon on Friday, February 28 at San Juan Del Rio Catholic Church in Jacksonville, FL, where she resided for 32 years. Inurnment will be at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Maryville, TN.

Carol is survived by her husband, Terry; her siblings – Terry Genenbacher (Judy), Ron Genenbacher (Elaine), Diane Zimmerman (Rick); her three children – Jeff Schoenekase (Nicole), Christine Potts (James), Steve Schoenekase (Debbie); her eight grandchildren – Taylor Schoenekase (Aubrey), Adam Potts (Laine), Kendall Schoenekase, Ben Schoenekase (Luz), Jessica Potts-Doyle (Heather), Madison McAnulty (Patrick), Jordan Potts, Katie Benjamin (William); and her three great-grandchildren – Jackson Potts, Sutton Schoenekase, Owen Potts.
