Carl Bruce Lane

Carl Bruce Lane, age 73, was born on June 10th, 1950, to Paul and Mary Lee Lane of Maryville, TN. He was a long-time resident of Rockford where he passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, December 18th. Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on old cars with his buddies Bill Gribble and Buck Whitehead. He never met a stranger, and it was well known that he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Bruce retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company. His Greatest Love was his granddaughter Abbey, and if you knew him you knew that.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Mary Lee Lane, brother Paul B. Lane Jr. of Rockford, and sister Mary Sue Lane Whiteman of Maryville. He is survived by his daughter Laura Lane Kolarik, son-in-law Tim, granddaughter Abbey, long-time significant other Donna Bruce, sister Nancy Cardwell (Ronald), brother-in-Law Ray Whiteman, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins too many to list but he loved them all.

The family will have a Celebration of Life on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 6pm at Madison Avenue Baptist Church activity center.
