Carl Lewis Freberg, 100, of Maryville, peacefully passed away on April 19, 2018. Formerly of Seekonk, Massachusetts, Carl retired from Hobart Sales & Service after more than 50 years. Until his move to Maryville, he was an active member of Memorial Baptist Church in Seekonk. In 2005, he and Rita transferred their membership to First Baptist Church of Maryville. In addition to being a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Carl was an avid community and church volunteer. Some of his favorite volunteer activities outside of church were with the Multiple Sclerosis Group of Seekonk and the local chapter of the White Cross. Carl and Rita also enjoyed providing visits and comfort to elderly who had limited or no visits from friends and family in their nursing home. Carl was a living example of the hands and feet of Jesus Christ and dedicated more than half his life to helping others in any way he could. Carl and Rita shared a love like no other and flourished together in ministry and mission work. Their bond and love for one another was built on faith and was and will be everlasting. Survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Rita Blaney Freberg, daughters Susan McRell and Lynne (Randy) Hurst and Granddaughters Kara (Phillip) Wilbourn, Marnie (Matt) Doyle, Katy McRell, Summer (Chip) Webb, and Alyssa Milligan. Great-Grandchildren, Kori and Kali, Caitlin and Emily, Jacob, Cooper and Kendall, Lilly and Kayley. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church Maryville Local Missions or Second Harvest Food Bank. Services are pending.
