Brian Christopher McNiel

On February 26th, 2023, Brian McNiel of Maryville, TN peacefully transcended to a place we have yet had the chance to experience or comprehend even in our wildest dreams. Brian was a former resident of San Diego, N. Hollywood and San Francisco, CA and was born and raised in Flint, MI. Brian was 50 years old. In April of 1972, Brian was born at McLaren General Hospital, the second of 3 boys to Robert and Diana (McKeever) McNiel. Brian was a 1990 Carman-Ainsworth graduate. Brian’s God given talents and physical attributes each and of themselves set him apart from us and enabled him to choose his own path and let the world come to him. Some examples: athletics (hockey, track & field, soccer), art (his works are incredible), spirituality (receptiveness, unique interpretations) and bartending (skill, interpersonal abilities). Brian appreciated a wide range of music, concerts, fashion, travel, fine dining, cooking and other such indulgences. Brian’s next great adventure was preceded by his parents Robert and Diana. He left behind brothers Scott and his wife Kris (Lurvey) and Kevin along with niece Isabella McNiel as well as all his surviving aunts, uncles and cousins. No family member, partner, friend, acquaintance or patron in their lifetime will ever forget having met Brian or knowing Brian or spending time with Brian or growing up with and loving Brian. Details for the Memorial gatherings celebrating Brian in both TN and MI will be determined soon.
