Barbara Sue Matzek

Barbara Sue Matzek, 86, of Maryville, TN passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, December 3, 2023.  Barbara was born in Lima, OH on October 20, 1937 to the late Harold and Wilda O’Dell.  She attended First United Methodist Church in Maryville.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Michael John Matzek, her grandchild, Jake Thomas, and her son-in-law, Allen Chanas.  Barbara is survived by her children Michelle (Mike) Russell, Becky Chanas, Melanie Matzek, Monica (Mark) Thomas, Mike (Laura) Matzek, Mark (Julia) Matzek and Matt (Michelle) Matzek, her sister, Carol Wright, 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandgrandchildren. “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life”.  Revelations 2:10.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbara's name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
