Ms. Barbara Leigh Gintis

Barbara Gintis, age 68, passed away peacefully at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center on October 5, 2018. Her longtime employment was a high school teacher of math and homeschool teacher of her two sons. Barbara was also a leader in the Florida Homeschooler’s Association. She is preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Anderson, and is survived by her father, Richard Anderson and his wife Inge, sons Noah Gintis and Adam Fried-Gintis, daughter-in-law, Sarah Fried-Gintis, grandchildren, Laura, Chloe, and Katherine Fried-Gintis and Sean, David, and Alexis Fried, and friend Terry Hulette, as well as by her brother David Arden and his wife Linda. Services will be held at Grandview Mausoleum on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at 3pm, located at 2304 Tuckaleechee Pike, Maryville, TN 37803.
