Mr. Aaron Michael Gant

We lost our beloved son, nephew and friend, Aaron Michael Gant, on September 13, 2018 . He was born on October 27, 1982, in Bryan, Texas, to Michael and Sharon Gant. He moved with his family to Knoxville in 1986 and lived briefly in Atlanta, GA, where he attended John Marshall Law School. Aaron graduated from South Doyle High School and the University of Tennessee where he majored in Political Science. He was a line cook at Calhoun’s on the River and most recently at Copper Cellar on the strip. Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Idell Gant, his uncle Stephen (Debi); Vencil and Betty Callison, his aunt Cynthia and uncle Thomas; and by his father, Michael Gant. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Gant, and by his brothers, Nathan and Daniel (Samantha) Gant. He is also survived by his uncle, John (Kathie) Gant, and by his aunt, Deborah (Jeff). Aaron had many wonderful cousins but was especially close to Jennifer (Marc), Jacqueline, and Jeffrey. He had many friends but he loved Alan, Eric and Pip like brothers. Finally, he will be missed dearly by his cat, Bunny. Aaron was a member of Lake Hills Presbyterian Church and his memorial service will be held there on Sunday, September 16th. Visitation will begin at 3:00 and the service will be at 4:00. Special thanks go to the ICU at the University of Tennessee Hospital; he could not have received better care, to our minister, James McTyre, and to Monte Biggs, who also ministered to us.
